They say that inner west is best!
This inner west loop can be started from anywhere! Flat almost the entire way around, this popular circuit, commonly known to locals as ‘The Bay Run’ is perfect for the whole family. The track never strays more than 20 metres from the water, meaning that the views are glorious from start to end. With the Iron Cove Bay bike ride passing through the suburbs of Rozelle, Lilyfield, Rodd Point, Russell Lea and Drummoyne, the route provides views of small beaches, mangroves, parklands and bridges.
You’ll find a number of free drinking spots throughout the loop, as well as places to stop for a coffee or a bite to eat. Parking is also plentiful at various locations such as King George Oval, Callan Park, outside Le Montage, around Timbrell Park and in the Rodd Park car park.
If you’re feeling energetic after your ride, The Bay Run can be followed up with a swim at Drummoyne Pool or some retail therapy at Birkenhead Point.
